Hi Angela, thank you for your comments, as with so many other things in this world you have free will choice and need to make a reasoned decision.

What you need to do is find something you are comfortable with yourself as far as training and development is concerned.

Always pay attention as to how you feel in the group it may not be a case of "something wrong" but also that your vibrations are not the same as the others, whether you are more or less advanced. This will without doubt affect the energies.

Your instinct is there for a reason. Even without being "psychic" at all there are instances for example when you walk into a pub and you know something is "going to kick off" we all are capable of these inner warnings, they are there for a reason. This is why it is such a shame in what the AFC have concluded.

If you read on this subject then there are very many good books from those who are considered "giants" in this subject. Of course, you can also find much on the web. Conan Doyle, Edgar Cayce, Silver birch, Emanuel Swedenborg, the Rev C Drayton Thomas, Harry Edwards, Leslie Flint , Allen Kardec and very many others who are considered an authority and have formed the very basis of the movement we all love.

Consider what they say and what has for many decades been the accepted truth.

As Silver Birch and many others have said, "There is only one truth, truth never changes" and therefore there is no question at all in reading the "greats" exactly what that truth is. "What is, was, and ever shall be."

One other thing I would point out very many times during Leslie Flints séances when asked on particular themes like "evil" and where those who are truly evil go, etc, it is remarked here and there "that the voices are strangely quiet."

It appears to me that those voices would not want to unduly influence or create a fear that may be fed upon thereby bringing in a shade of dark. That is my conclusion, inspired from Spirit. Your view may be different.

I have been lucky enough to have had very many experiences of all kinds across the spectrum since the age of two. Many have been profoundly positive, however as in any well-rounded education, there have been instances when I have had the need to be fully aware of all possibilities. It was shown to me that it is necessary as with everything in life, to be careful. I teach this to my own students.
In short, look into it carefully, and make your own decision. I would certainly look up Edgar Cayce etc, bad experiences with Ouija and you will surely find psychiatrists reports aligned with its use. This has been looked into for many decades and is not "new"; there is much to support, along with the writings of those mentioned above. As in all things, you have to make the choice.

If any of you have not seen the excellent film starring Sean Connery called THE NAME OF THE ROSE, I would strongly urge you to see it.

It deals with a "Cadfile style character" with of series of murders, and shows how exactly the church viewed its role and how church-wise, where we are today and how we arrived at it.

To explain, there was a meeting held at the monastery. This monastery was very high up in the Italian mountains somewhere. It took most many months of hard travel to get there. The purpose? The all-important question of whether "The Christ owned his own clothes."
