A LETTER TO MARGARET

(A message sent by a miscarried child to comfort its grieving mother. Her name, given at the time of writing,  was confirmed later. This verse is dedicated to all mothers who have lost.)

Dear Margaret,

Although you don't know me yet,

And you'll find it hard to forget,

And so often ask the reason why,

these things must be the way they are,

It seems so cruel to love me so,

And then to let me go.

I feel I'll come to you again.

Then you'll give me my longed for name,

For in Gods plan we play our part,

So think of me with loving heart.

But do not fear or grieve unduly,

All my love I'll send you truly,

And when you think of me (with good cheer)

You must know that I'll draw near.
